Netflix acquired the digital streaming rights of Padavettu and scheduled its OTT release for 25 November 2022. The film joined the platform’s growing collection of Malayalam titles.
Around the same period, Kumari, starring Aishwarya Lekshmi, was another Malayalam movie available on Netflix.

Several Malayalam films were moving to streaming platforms during November and the following weeks. Kooman was associated with Prime Video, while Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey and Monster were among the films heading to Disney+ Hotstar.
Netflix also added the Telugu movie GodFather, featuring Chiranjeevi, Salman Khan, Nayanthara and Satya Dev.
