Telugu superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna has officially joined hands with blockbuster filmmaker Koratala Siva for the first time. Tentatively titled NBK112, the film was formally launched with a traditional pooja ceremony in Amaravati, marking the beginning of one of Telugu cinema’s most anticipated collaborations.

The film is being produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri and Sudhakar Mikilineni under the banners of SLV Cinemas and Yuvasudha Arts.

Grand Launch Ceremony in Amaravati

The launch event was attended by several prominent personalities, including Andhra Pradesh Ministers Nara Lokesh and Kandula Durgesh as chief guests. Leading Telugu film personalities such as Suresh Babu, Gopichand Malineni, Venkata Satish Kilaru, and Sahu Garapati also graced the occasion and handed over the script to the producers.

Minister Kandula Durgesh switched on the camera for the inaugural shot, while Nara Lokesh gave the ceremonial clapboard. Balakrishna’s daughter Nandamuri Tejaswini directed the first shot of the film, making the occasion even more memorable.

Nara Lokesh Highlights Amaravati’s Cinema Vision

Speaking at the event, Nara Lokesh thanked his father-in-law Balakrishna for inviting him to the prestigious launch. He said the Andhra Pradesh Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, is committed to transforming Amaravati into a major destination for the film industry.

He emphasized that the government’s vision extends beyond cinema by promoting the creator economy through world-class infrastructure, advanced finishing studios, cutting-edge technology, and a sustainable ecosystem for filmmakers. Lokesh added that hosting the launch in Amaravati was a proud moment and expressed hope that many more major film projects would begin their journey from the state’s capital in the future.

Koratala Siva Calls the Film a Dream Collaboration

Director Koratala Siva expressed his gratitude to Ministers Nara Lokesh and Kandula Durgesh for attending the launch. Reflecting on his career, he recalled working as an assistant writer and assistant director on Balakrishna’s films before becoming a filmmaker.

Calling himself a lifelong admirer of Balakrishna, Koratala said directing the legendary actor was a dream come true. He promised that the film would be an unforgettable cinematic experience for Balakrishna’s fans as well as movie lovers.

Balakrishna Speaks About the Film and Andhra Pradesh

Balakrishna thanked his millions of fans for their continued love and support while expressing gratitude to the ministers and his daughter Tejaswini for making the launch ceremony special. He also mentioned that Tejaswini had previously contributed creatively to his popular talk show Unstoppable.

The actor noted that it had been nearly two decades since Andhra Pradesh witnessed such a major film launch and described the project as even more special because it marks his first collaboration with Koratala Siva and the producers.

Balakrishna reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the development of the film industry in Andhra Pradesh with the encouragement of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. He said Vijayawada has the potential to emerge as a major filmmaking hub and envisioned the growth of amusement parks, tourism infrastructure, and world-class production facilities alongside the industry’s expansion.

He also revealed that while his ongoing film with Gopichand Malineni is currently being shot at the Kakinada Port, a major schedule of NBK112 will also be filmed in Andhra Pradesh.
