As the third quarter of 2024 comes to an end, we are excited to release our latest data report on market shares in India. As usual, we based our report on the 5.3 million JustWatch users in India selecting their streaming services, clicking out to streaming offers and marking titles as seen.
SVOD market shares in Q3 2024
Disney+ Hotstar maintains the lead position in the country with a quarter of the Indian market. Meanwhile, Netflix and Zee5 are close in battle with only a 3% difference between the two providers.
Market share development in 2024
Netflix showed the most market growth, with a +2% gain in India. Apple TV+ and local service Jio Cinema each achieved a +1% increase. Meanwhile Hotstar struggled, each losing -2% of their shares over the past three months.
