Fragrant Nature Film Creations has unveiled the second official poster of its ambitious vampire action thriller HALF: The Chronicles of Two Half-Blooded Vampires, offering another striking glimpse into the film’s dark and atmospheric world. Directed by Samjad and produced by Anne Sajeev and Sajeev P.K., the film marks the second collaboration between the creative team behind the critically acclaimed crime thriller Golam.
Adding to the excitement, HALF has now been officially selected for the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) 2026, where it will have its world premiere in the prestigious Midnight Madness section this September. The recognition places the Malayalam film on one of the world’s most celebrated cinema platforms.
HALF Selected for TIFF 2026
The film will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival under the Midnight Madness category, a section known for showcasing bold, genre-defining and visually distinctive films. The selection marks a major international milestone for both the filmmakers and Malayalam cinema.
The makers have also confirmed that the Hindi version of the film will be presented and distributed across North India by Excel Entertainment and AA Films, marking Excel Entertainment’s first collaboration with the Malayalam film industry.
The Golam Team Returns
Following the success of Golam, director Samjad, writer Praveen Viswanath, and Fragrant Nature Film Creations reunite for a much larger cinematic venture.
While Golam explored the world of crime investigation, HALF moves into supernatural territory, centering on the story of two half-blood vampires. Combining road action, revenge, fantasy, and emotional drama, the film aims to deliver a fresh genre experience for Indian audiences.
Second Poster Reveals the Dark World of HALF
The newly released poster continues the film’s distinctive visual identity, highlighting themes of identity, survival, vengeance, and transformation. Featuring the tagline “The Chronicles of Two Half-Blooded Vampires,” the artwork reinforces the mysterious and atmospheric tone established by the first look.
The poster prominently features Amala Paul, Ranjith Sajeev, and Aishwarya Raj, while also marking the return of veteran actor Abbas to the big screen after a long hiatus.

International Action Team

Yulisman reportedly trained lead actors Ranjith Sajeev and Aishwarya Raj for several months, preparing them to perform many of their own action sequences. Unlike conventional Indian action films, HALF features zero slow-motion action scenes, focusing instead on realistic, fast-paced combat.
