One of the biggest attractions was Mohanlal’s three-hour Onam special, Lalonam Nallonam.
The channel also brought several notable films to television audiences during the festive season. Lalonam Nallonam – Mohanlal’s Onam Special on Asianet
Lalonam Nallonam was one of the major highlights of Asianet’s Onam 2020 celebrations. Headlined by Mohanlal, the three-hour entertainment program brought together musicians, singers, actors, comedians, dancers and mentalists.
Rather than being limited to a conventional celebrity show, Lalonam Nallonam combined drama, music, dance, comedy, celebrity interactions, mentalism and Onam-themed games.
Mohanlal in Lankalakshmi
One of the main attractions of Lalonam Nallonam was the special period drama Lankalakshmi.
Mohanlal appeared as three mythological characters – Ravana, Kumbakarna and Vibheeshana – making the drama one of the major segments of the three-hour Onam program.
Antakshari With Popular Malayalam Singers
Music was another important part of the Onam special. The Antakshari segment featured several popular singers, including Sithara Krishnakumar, Sachin Warrier, Najim Arshad, Reshma, Neha Venugopal and Nishad.
Singer and internet sensation Arya Dayal also joined the segment. Arya Dayal had attracted widespread attention during the period for her musical performances, including appreciation from Amitabh Bachchan.
Dance Fusion With Honey Rose, Anusree and Others
Lalonam Nallonam also featured a special dance fusion with popular Malayalam cinema actresses.
The performers included Honey Rose, Anusree, Rachana Narayanankutty, Nikhila Vimal, Prayaga Martin and Durga Krishna.
Comedy skits, celebrity interactions, a mentalism performance and special Onam games were also included in the festive entertainment package.

Asianet Onam Special Shows
Movies and Lalonam Nallonam were only part of Asianet’s festive schedule. The channel also prepared several special programs for viewers during the Onam holidays.
The detective telefilm Avarodoppam Aliyum Achayanum, Onapuram, the special Cinemala presentation Coronam, Comedy Stars cookery program Onaruchimelam and comedy show Onam Upperi were among the programs lined up for the celebrations.

Asianet Onam 2026 – Drishyam 3, Vaazha II, Mohiniyattam and Mollywood Times
Six years after the 2020 celebrations, Asianet’s Onam 2026 lineup brings another major collection of movies and entertainment programs to viewers.
Asianet has started promoting its festive programming through the #OGOnamPromo campaign. The lineup includes the television premieres of Drishyam 3, Vaazha II: Biopic of a Billion Bros, Bharathanatyam 2: Mohiniyattam and Mollywood Times.
The channel’s festive programming also includes Onaruchimelam, Onakalavara, Anand TV Awards 2026 and various celebrity-oriented programs.
Bigg Boss Agnipareeksha Malayalam Onam Specials
Bigg Boss Agnipareeksha Malayalam is also part of Asianet’s 2026 entertainment lineup. Special Onam episodes are expected as part of the festive programming.
The show is telecast on Asianet, with streaming available through JioHotstar from 15 August.
