Vandana Krishnan as Swathi
Vandana Krishnan, who hails from Thiruvananthapuram, plays Swathi in the serial. The character places her at the centre of the story and made the actress one of the prominent faces of Zee Keralam’s early fiction lineup.

The story also has its roots in the Hindi television serial Badho Bahu, which aired on &TV. The concept was subsequently adapted for audiences in different languages, with changes made for their respective regional settings.
