Tiger TV, the new Punjabi and Hindi entertainment destination introduced by Rohit Jain, Founder and CEO of Lionsgate Play, officially launched on October 15, 2026. The streaming service brings a curated selection of Punjabi and Hindi films, original series and culturally rooted entertainment to audiences in India and international markets.
Available through the Lionsgate Play app in India, Tiger TV has announced an ambitious content strategy involving more than ₹500 crore in Punjabi and Hindi intellectual property over three years. The platform also plans to premiere over 50 titles during its first year.

Tiger TV’s programming slate features Punjabi films, Hindi entertainment and original productions. The announced lineup includes titles featuring popular Punjabi cinema personalities, alongside new Hindi projects.

Punjabi Entertainment on Tiger TV
Punjabi entertainment is a central focus of Tiger TV. The platform aims to bring regional storytelling to viewers in India and Punjabi-speaking communities across international markets.
The announced programming features names associated with Punjabi entertainment, including Diljit Dosanjh, Ammy Virk, Gippy Grewal, Neeru Bajwa, Sonam Bajwa and Amrinder Gill.
Rather than functioning as a Punjabi-language category within a larger streaming catalogue, Tiger TV has been positioned as a dedicated entertainment destination with its own programming identity.
Daanav and Eklavya – Tiger TV Original Projects
Among the platform’s announced Hindi projects is Daanav, a crime thriller original starring Angad Bedi and Pooja Gor.
The series explores the world of serial killers and the psychology behind criminal behaviour. Its first look was unveiled as part of Tiger TV’s launch announcements.
Another project is Eklavya, introduced as the first title in a planned slate of AI-related productions.
The announcement also introduced Yug R.Ai, described as Lionsgate Play’s first AI actor. Further details regarding the project’s release schedule are awaited.
Tiger TV Subscription Plans in India
Tiger TV launched in India with two subscription options:
- Quarterly subscription: ₹349
- Annual subscription: ₹799
These prices apply to Tiger TV and should not be confused with the separate Lionsgate Play subscription plans.
In India and other Asian markets, Tiger TV is available within the Lionsgate Play app. The service also has a standalone app offering in selected international markets.
Tiger TV International Availability
Tiger TV launched across 12 markets, including India, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
The platform targets Punjabi- and Hindi-speaking audiences living outside India, offering entertainment connected to their languages and cultural backgrounds.
Availability through Prime Video Channels and YouTube Primetime Channels was also announced as part of the platform’s distribution expansion.
More Than 50 Premieres Planned in the First Year
Tiger TV plans to develop a content portfolio exceeding ₹500 crore over three years, with more than 50 premieres planned during its first year.
The service is backed by Lionsgate Play, which reported five million paying subscribers at the time of the announcement.
With Punjabi films, Hindi originals, crime thrillers and AI-focused projects forming part of its programming strategy, Tiger TV is expanding its entertainment offering beyond the existing Lionsgate Play catalogue.
