Theatre: The Myth of Reality at IX Yalta International Film Festival on October 7th
Theatre: The Myth of Reality, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Sajin Babu, is all set to make its World Premiere on October 7th at the IX Yalta International Film Festival, Eurasian Bridge – International Competition Section. Out of the eight films selected in this prestigious competition section, one is Theatre: The Myth of Reality.
Produced by Anjana Philip and Philip Zacharia, and co-produced by Santhosh Kottayi under the banner of Anjana Talkies Pvt Ltd, with Rima Kallingal in the lead, the film has already been creating waves on the global festival circuit. The film’s trailer was officially launched at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, and it is also slated to be screened at the Kazan Film Festival, Russia, further establishing its international presence.
Carrying forward the unique cinematic voice of Sajin Babu, known for his bold and award-winning storytelling in Biriyaani, Theatre: The Myth of Reality has been receiving recognition even before its theatrical release. The film has won the Best Actress Award and the Special Jury Award at the 48th Kerala Film Critics Awards, and has been officially selected for festivals such as TIME International Film Festival and CinéV-CHD International Film Festival.
Exploring the thin lines between performance and existence, the film questions and redefines the very fabric of reality, offering audiences a deeply layered and thought-provoking cinematic experience. With a striking central performance and a raw, poetic narrative, the film is all set to release in cinemas on October 16th.
