Tamil OTT viewers have three new releases to watch from September 25, 2026, with films arriving across SonyLIV, Prime Video and Sun NXT. The week’s lineup includes Habeebi, Photographer and Angikaaram, offering a mix of family emotions, drama and a sports-based courtroom story.
Meera Kathiravan’s Habeebi begins streaming on SonyLIV in five languages, while Photographer, written and directed by Ashraf Ali, arrives on Prime Video. Sun NXT adds Angikaaram, a Tamil and Telugu sports drama based on true events.

Habeebi OTT Release Date on SonyLIV
Tamil movie Habeebi, directed by Meera Kathiravan, is ready for its digital premiere following its theatrical release. The film will begin streaming on SonyLIV from September 25, 2026.
Set against the backdrop of a Muslim family, Habeebi explores life, family relationships and emotional bonds through its central characters. The film received positive responses from audiences and critics during its theatrical run.
Habeebi is produced under the banners of Romeo Pictures, Nesam Entertainment and GKS Brothers. It is the third directorial venture of Meera Kathiravan.
The film also marks Malavika Manoj’s Tamil cinema debut, with newcomer Eesa appearing in a lead role. The cast includes Esha M, Kasthuri Raja, Malavika Manoj, Dhanasree Sudhakaran, Arulkumar and Anusreya Rajan.
SonyLIV will make Habeebi available in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi, giving the film a wider multi-language OTT release.
Photographer Streaming on Prime Video
Photographer is another Tamil title scheduled to begin streaming on Prime Video from September 25, 2026.
The film is written and directed by Ashraf Ali, who also appears in the movie alongside Janani Samathanam. Abdul Basit Syed produced the film, with Mohamed Feroz serving as co-producer and Chandru KR as creative producer.
Rajkumar Chandrasekaran composed the music, while Rayeez Ahmed handled the cinematography and R. C. Pranav edited the film.
The technical team also includes Dinesh Subbarayan for stunts and P. Saravanan MFA for art. Preman handled the dialogues and lyrics.
With its September 25 digital release, Photographer joins Prime Video’s latest Tamil streaming lineup.
Angikaaram Streaming on Sun NXT
Angikaaram will begin streaming exclusively on Sun NXT from September 25, 2026. The sports drama will be available in Tamil and Telugu.
Directed by debut filmmaker Thenpathiyan, Angikaaram is presented as a sports courtroom drama based on true events. The story centres around Aathiran, with the film combining its sporting backdrop with a courtroom battle.
Kotapadi J Rajesh plays Aathiran, while Sindhoori Vishwanath appears in a prominent role. The supporting cast includes Viji Venkatesh, Rangaraj Pandey, Mansoor Ali Khan, Rama, Vasundhara Kashyap, Mohan Raman, Aroul D. Shankar and Ajit Koshy.
Mohan Raman appears as a judge, while Rama plays Aathiran’s mother.
