Mandaadi, starring Soori in the lead role, is heading to Netflix after completing its theatrical run. The digital streaming rights of the Tamil film have been acquired by Netflix, while the exact OTT release date is yet to be announced.

Written and directed by Mathimaran Pugazhendhi, Mandaadi was released in theatres on September 10, 2026, coinciding with the Vinayagar Chaturthi period. The makers had earlier planned to release the film on September 4 before moving it to the new date.

Produced by Elred Kumar under the RS Infotainment banner, the film combines action and emotion with a story rooted in Tamil Nadu’s coastal culture.

Mandaadi OTT Release Date and Platform

Netflix has secured the digital streaming rights of Mandaadi. Following its theatrical run, the Soori starrer is expected to arrive on the streaming platform in October 2026.

Mandaadi is set along the coastal belt of Tamil Nadu and revolves around a traditional sailing boat competition celebrated by local fishing communities.

The title Mandaadi refers to the leader of a fishing team participating in the competition. Against this backdrop, the film explores courage, rivalry, community pride, relationships and resilience while incorporating action and sporting elements into the story.

Before Mandaadi on Netflix – Tamil OTT Releases

Before Mandaadi’s expected Netflix arrival, Tamil OTT viewers have several new titles to watch from September 25, 2026.

Habeebi begins streaming on SonyLIV, while Photographer arrives on Prime Video. Angikaaram, a sports courtroom drama based on true events, starts streaming on Sun NXT in Tamil and Telugu.

Mandaadi will subsequently expand Soori’s presence on streaming once its Netflix premiere date is officially confirmed.

Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai – Soori With Nivin Pauly and Anjali

Soori will also be seen in Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai, the Tamil romantic psychological thriller starring Nivin Pauly. The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on October 1, 2026.

Written and directed by Ram, the film features Nivin Pauly, Anjali and Soori in prominent roles. The project offers another significant release featuring Soori shortly after Mandaadi’s theatrical run.
