What Is a Prime Video Add-On Subscription?
Prime Video add-on subscriptions are separately paid streaming services that customers can access directly within the Prime Video application.
Instead of maintaining multiple applications for different entertainment platforms, viewers can discover and watch eligible content through one interface.
Another advantage is centralised subscription management. Customers can manage billing, renewals and cancellations through their Amazon account.
Prime Video add-ons are not automatically included with an Amazon Prime membership. Each selected service requires a separate payment. Free trials, where offered, and membership requirements depend on the individual subscription and region.

Customers should compare the available content, supported devices, subscription duration and renewal charges before selecting a package.

The addition of SonyLIV strengthens Prime Video’s add-on subscription offering, particularly for viewers interested in Indian television, regional cinema and live sports.
For Malayalam audiences, the availability of SonyLIV alongside services such as manoramaMAX and other entertainment add-ons provides another way to discover streaming content.
