Alaaeddine Ajaraie Opens Scoring for NorthEast United
Juan Pedro Benali’s side took the lead in the 15th minute when Eneko Satrustegui delivered a precise pass to Alaaeddine Ajaraie. The Moroccan forward rounded Kerala Blasters goalkeeper Arsh Anwer before finishing confidently.
NorthEast United continued to create opportunities, but Arsh produced an important save to deny Jithin a goal.
Kerala Blasters attempted to respond through Andre Green, whose 38th-minute effort was blocked by Satrustegui. Amey Ranawade also failed to convert an opportunity created by Adrian Luna.
The hosts doubled their advantage in first-half stoppage time. Ajaraie recovered possession following a blocked attempt and set up Antonio Moyano, who scored in the 45+4th minute.
Yansane Pulls One Back for Kerala Blasters
Kerala Blasters made two substitutions at half-time, introducing Korou and Sandeep Singh in place of Amey Ranawade and Hormipam Ruivah.
Despite the changes, NorthEast United remained dangerous, forcing Arsh Anwer into further saves.
The Blasters eventually reduced the deficit in the 60th minute when Yansane converted Adrian Luna’s flick with a low finish past Gurmeet Singh, making the score 2-1.
The goal briefly revived Kerala Blasters’ hopes of a comeback.
Ajaraie Completes Brace, Aman CK Scores on Debut
NorthEast United restored their two-goal advantage in the 70th minute after Ajaraie capitalised on a poor clearance from Korou.
His curling effort from outside the penalty area beat Arsh Anwer to make it 3-1.
Benali subsequently introduced Nikola and Aman CK in place of Ajaraie and Jithin. Kerala Blasters also brought on Mohammed Sanan for Vibin Mohanan.
Aman CK marked his NorthEast United debut with a goal in the 82nd minute, converting a pass from Macarton to complete the 4-1 victory.
