Malayalam actor Shane Nigam is once again impressing audiences with a strong police character in the suspense thriller Dridam. Directed by debutant Martin Joseph, the film has been receiving positive responses from audiences and continues its successful theatrical run.
Released with the tagline “Protect, Serve, Survive,” Dridham is a gripping investigative thriller set against the backdrop of a police station. The story follows SI Vijay Radhakrishnan, who receives his first posting at Kuzhinilam Police Station. Shane Nigam’s Journey in Malayalam Cinema
Shane Nigam began his acting career as a child artist with the film Thanthonni. Even during his childhood, he gained popularity through television programs such as Hello Kuttichathan and Super Dancer Junior.
His performances in films like Annayum Rasoolum and Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi helped him gain recognition as a promising young actor. Later, movies including Balyakalasakhi, Kammatipaadam, and Kismath elevated his position in the Malayalam film industry.
Among them, Kismath became a major turning point in Shane’s career, establishing him as a lead actor. He further strengthened his place in Malayalam cinema with memorable performances in Parava, Eeda, and Kumbalangi Nights.
Shane also earned critical acclaim for the horror thriller Bhoothakaalam, a film he not only starred in but also produced. In recent years, he has continued to experiment with different genres through films like RDX and other action-oriented projects.
