Asianet serial Santhwanam emerged as the highest-rated Malayalam television program in the BARC Week 9 ratings, overtaking Kudumbavilakku to claim the No. 1 position. Asianet continued its dominance in the Kerala television ratings, with the channel’s programs occupying all the positions in the Top 10 chart.
Santhwanam recorded an average TVR of 18.38, while Kudumbavilakku finished close behind with 18.03 TVR. The difference between the two popular Asianet serials remained narrow, making the battle for the top position one of the major highlights of the Week 9 ratings.

Santhwanam Becomes the No. 1 Malayalam TV Program
The major change in the latest ratings is Santhwanam moving ahead of Kudumbavilakku. Santhwanam secured 18.38 average TVR compared with Kudumbavilakku’s 18.03, giving it a narrow lead in the weekly chart.
Both serials continued to record strong ratings, and the small difference between them indicated a close competition for the top position.
Santhwanam had also crossed the 100-episode milestone, with the serial receiving strong audience response. Episodes of the show were also attracting significant viewership through Hotstar.
Kudumbavilakku Drops to Second Position
Kudumbavilakku, which had been one of Asianet’s strongest performers, moved to the second position in Week 9. However, its 18.03 average TVR remained very close to Santhwanam’s rating.
The daily ratings also showed fluctuations between the two serials, suggesting that the leadership position could change again in subsequent weeks.
Santhwanam and Kudumbavilakku Daily Ratings
The daily TVR figures underline how closely Santhwanam and Kudumbavilakku competed during the rating period.
Kudumbavilakku recorded 17.42 on Saturday, 17.51 on Monday, 18.41 on Tuesday, 18.39 on Wednesday, 19.24 on Thursday and 17.21 on Friday.
Santhwanam registered 18.39 on Saturday, 17.29 on Monday, 18.39 on Tuesday, 19.69 on Wednesday, 19.18 on Thursday and 17.31 on Friday.
Santhwanam’s particularly strong Wednesday performance helped the serial maintain its advantage in the weekly average.
Mounaragam, Padatha Painkili and Ammayariyathe Complete the Top 5
Asianet maintained complete control over the leading positions in the Week 9 Malayalam television ratings.
Mounaragam secured third place with 17.29 TVR, followed by Padatha Painkili with 16.75. Ammayariyathe completed the Top 5 with an average TVR of 15.68.
Koodevide followed with 13.48, while Bigg Boss, Star Singer – The Epic Show and other Asianet programs occupied the remaining positions.
Asianet Dominates Kerala Television Ratings
The Week 9 BARC report once again demonstrated Asianet’s strength in the Malayalam television market. More significantly, the competition between Santhwanam and Kudumbavilakku became extremely close, with only 0.35 TVR separating the two serials.
For this particular week, however, Santhwanam was the clear No. 1 Malayalam television program, pushing Kudumbavilakku to the second position.
