Porus, the Malayalam dubbed version of the historical television series, was launched on Surya TV on 21 January. The serial was originally produced for Sony Entertainment Television and was brought to Malayalam television after Sun Network acquired its South Indian television rights.

Laksh Lalwani as Porus

Laksh Lalwani played Purushottam, also known as Puru or Porus, the central character of the television series.

His character represents the Paurav kingdom and stands at the heart of the storyline as the narrative builds towards the conflict involving Alexander.

Porus became one of Laksh Lalwani’s prominent television roles and placed him at the centre of this large-scale historical production.

Rohit Purohit as Alexander the Great

Rohit Purohit played Alexander the Great, another major character in the series.

The Malayalam version of Porus had a different rights arrangement from Surya TV’s own original programs.
