Asianet announced Paadatha Painkili, the official Malayalam remake of the Bengali television serial Ke Apon Ke Por aired on Star Jalsha. The channel started airing Coming Soon promos for the new family drama, with Manisha and Sooraj Sun playing the lead roles.
The serial brings together director Sudheesh Sankar and writer Dinesh Pallath, along with several familiar Malayalam television actors.
Paadatha Painkili Serial Cast and Crew
Manisha plays the female lead Kanmani, while Sooraj Sun appears as the male lead Deva. Archana Suseelan, Prem Prakash, Dinesh Panicker, Anjitha BR, Ambika, Sabari and Fazal Razi are also part of the supporting cast.
Sudheesh Sankar directs Paadatha Painkili. He is known for television serials including Ente Manasaputhri, Oomanathingal Pakshi, Parasparam and Pranayam. He also worked on the Zee Keralam serial Kabani before returning to Asianet for this project.
Popular television writer Dinesh Pallath handles the script of the serial.

Ke Apon Ke Por Remake in Malayalam
Paadatha Painkili joins Asianet’s lineup of Malayalam adaptations of Bengali television serials. The channel had already found considerable success with Kudumbavilakku, another Bengali serial remake.
At the time of the announcement, Asianet was leading the Malayalam television ratings chart with more than 800 points, while Kudumbavilakku was the channel’s highest-rated programme.

Kudumbavilakku topped the programme chart with 16.40 points, followed by Vanambadi with 15.46 points and Mounaragam with 13.81 points.
Other popular Asianet programmes included Ammayariyathe with 13.05 points, Seetha Kalyanam with 10.19 points, Pournami Thinkal with 7.94 points, Comedy Stars Season 2 with 5.76 points, Kasthooriman with 3.60 points and Kannante Radha with 2.16 points.
With Paadatha Painkili, Asianet was preparing to add another Bengali remake to its Malayalam serial lineup, this time introducing Kanmani and Deva as the central characters.
