The much-awaited pan-Indian Telugu fantasy adventure Nagabandham, written and directed by Abhishek Nama, is gearing up for a grand worldwide theatrical release on July 3, 2026. The film stars Virat Karna in the lead role and has already generated significant buzz ahead of its release.
In a major development, Zee Studios has acquired the overseas theatrical distribution rights of the film. The movie will be released globally in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi, ensuring a wide international reach.
Produced by Kishore Annapureddy and Nishita Nagireddy under the banners of NIK Studios and Abhishek Pictures, the film is presented by Lakshmi Ira and Devansh Nama, with Tarak Cinemas serving as co-producer.
Zee Studios has also secured the film’s North Indian theatrical distribution rights and is planning a large-scale Hindi release. Meanwhile, Amazon Prime Video has acquired the OTT streaming rights of the film. The Telugu satellite rights have been secured by Star Maa, while Zee Studios holds the satellite rights for the remaining language versions.
A Mythological Adventure with Global Scale
Nagabandham promises a grand cinematic experience featuring massive production values, world-class visual effects, and an epic adventure rooted in ancient mysteries. The story revolves around forgotten legends, hidden treasures, divine powers, and long-lost secrets, taking audiences through ancient temples, mystical worlds, and spectacular battle sequences.
The film’s post-production and VFX work are currently in the final stages.
OTT Rights and release
In addition to its theatrical rollout, Amazon Prime Video has secured the digital streaming rights of Nagabandham. Following its theatrical run, the film will premiere on the platform, allowing audiences across India and international markets to experience the epic fantasy adventure from the comfort of their homes. While the official OTT release date is yet to be announced, the Prime Video deal highlights the strong confidence surrounding one of the most anticipated pan-Indian releases of 2026.
