Yuvan Shankar Raja Composes the Music
Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the music for Maareesan. Kalaiselvan Sivaji handled the cinematography, Sreejith Sarang worked as the editor and Mahendran handled the art direction.
The film also carries an interesting connection to Yuvan Shankar Raja’s father, Ilaiyaraaja. The song “Nethu Oruthara”, originally composed by Ilaiyaraaja for the 1990 Tamil film Puthu Paatu, was remastered and reused in Maareesan.
Maareesan – 98th Movie of Super Good Films
Maareesan is promoted as the 98th production of R. B. Choudary’s Super Good Films, making the film another milestone for the long-running South Indian production banner.
E4 Experiments is associated with the project as creative producers, while AP International acquired the global theatrical release rights.
Director Sudheesh Shankar has also previously worked with the banner on the Malayalam comedy entertainer Villali Veeran, starring Dileep.
From Maareesan Teaser to Official Trailer
Before the theatrical trailer arrived, the makers had generated interest through the Maareesan teaser. According to the promotional information released for the film, the teaser attracted around 40 lakh views.
