Dulquer Salmaan’s seventh film, “Lokah – Chapter One: Chandra“, produced by Wayfarer Films, has received a tremendous response from the audience. On the first day of its release, 130+ late night shows were added as extras for the film in Kerala alone. The film played more than a thousand shows in more than 250 screens in Kerala on its first day. Kalyani Priyadarshan and Naslen played the lead roles in the film. ‘Lokah’, which is made on a huge budget, is written and directed by Dominic Arun. “Chandra” is the first film in a superhero cinematic universe called “Lokah”.
This film opens a wonderful world in front of the Malayalam film audience. The highlight of the film is the character inspired by the story of the famous legendary Kaliyankattu Neeli of Kerala. Dominic Arun has created a superhero world through the film, focusing on the culture and myths of Kerala. Kalyani Priyadarshan gave her career-best performance as the title character Chandra. Naslen as Sunny and Sandy as Inspector Nachiyappa Gowda also gave impressive performances. Chandu as Venu and Arun Kurian as Nigel are also in the cast. Shanthi Balachandran, Sarath Sabha, Nishant Sagar and Vijayaraghavan are also in the cast. “Lokah – Chapter One: Chandra” is the first part of a multi-part cinematic universe.
