IP Man: Kung Fu Legend – October 2
The Lionsgate Play October lineup opens with IP Man: Kung Fu Legend on October 2, 2026. Directed by Li Liming, the film is set in 1950s Hong Kong and follows legendary Wing Chun master Ip Man as he leaves the police force and establishes his own martial arts school.
His new life is disrupted when a Western boxing gym threatens properties belonging to the local martial arts community. Ip Man is consequently drawn into a conflict that puts both his principles and the traditions he wants to protect to the test.

Above & Below premieres on Lionsgate Play on October 9, 2026. Directed by Jesse V. Johnson, the survival thriller begins with five friends on a vacation in Mexico before a shark-diving expedition takes a dangerous turn.
After discovering cartel cocaine, Tatiana and her companions become trapped in a shark cage and are forced to retrieve the drugs from the ocean floor. Great White sharks, limited oxygen and armed criminals turn the situation into a fight for survival.
The film stars Laura Marano, Antonio Banderas and Ramiro Alonso.
Only Me – October 9
Also arriving on October 9 is Only Me, a thriller-drama starring Gayatri Bhardwaj, Rishabh Sawhney and Sarfaraz Ali Mirza.
The story follows a mysterious woman whose calculated encounters with unsuspecting men trigger a disturbing sequence of events. Carefully staged clues and fragments from her past gradually point towards deeper trauma connected to her mother and the sea.

Set in modern-day Mumbai, the thriller-romance centres on a charming young serial killer who presents himself as the perfect boyfriend-next-door. His search for an ideal woman involves a succession of failed dates, with each rejection becoming another stage in his increasingly disturbing pursuit.

Directed by Aaron Schoenke and Sean Schoenke, the film follows Erik Reed, a warrior forced into hiding after being blamed for destruction caused during a devastating battle.
