Produced by Sinthai Vijayan under the banner of Baiju Creations, Khushpu combines horror, comedy and suspense with an engaging storyline revolving around a group of friends attempting to establish themselves as YouTube content creators.
The first-look announcement has brought attention to the film’s distinctive concept, particularly the involvement of Chill, a dog rescued from a landslide-affected region.
Khushpu Malayalam Movie – Rescue Dog Chill Plays a Central Character
One of the most interesting aspects of Khushpu is the casting of Chill, a rescued street dog, in a major role.
Chill survived a devastating landslide and was subsequently rescued from the disaster-affected area. The dog’s journey from surviving a natural disaster to becoming a central character in a Malayalam feature film gives Khushpu an unusual real-life connection.
Chill was prepared for the role through dedicated training by Shaji Balaramapuram, Jigesh Sukumar and Bijoy.
The filmmakers have highlighted the dog’s involvement as one of the defining features of the project. The transformation of a rescued animal into a film performer is expected to attract attention from audiences, particularly animal lovers.
