Amazon Prime Video has announced the OTT release date of the Malayalam movie Gold, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Nayanthara in the lead roles. The film is scheduled to start digital streaming from 29 December 2022, following its theatrical release earlier in the month.
Written, edited and directed by Alphonse Puthren, Gold marked the filmmaker’s return with another Malayalam feature film. Amazon Prime Video acquired the digital streaming rights, while Surya TV secured the satellite television rights of the movie.
The film was released theatrically on 1 December 2022, with its Prime Video premiere arriving four weeks later.

Gold Streaming on Amazon Prime Video from 29 December
29 December 2022 is the OTT release date of Gold on Amazon Prime Video. The digital premiere follows the movie’s theatrical release on 1 December.
Prime Video acquired the OTT rights of the film and added Gold to its Malayalam movie catalogue during the year-end festive period.
Another Malayalam movie recently added to Prime Video was 4 Years, starring Sarjano Khalid and Priya Prakash Varrier, which started streaming on 23 December 2022.
Prithviraj Sukumaran and Nayanthara in Lead Roles
Prithviraj Sukumaran and Nayanthara lead the cast of Gold. The film also brings together a large ensemble of popular Malayalam actors.

Alphonse Puthren Writes and Directs Gold
Gold is written, edited and directed by Alphonse Puthren. The movie is jointly produced by Supriya Menon under Prithviraj Productions and Listin Stephen under Magic Frames.
Rajesh Murugesan composed the music for the film, while Anend C. Chandran and Viswajith Odukkathil handled the cinematography.
The combination of Alphonse Puthren with Prithviraj Sukumaran and Nayanthara was one of the major attractions surrounding the movie.
Gold Television Premiere on Surya TV
The satellite television rights of Gold are with Surya TV. Following its theatrical and OTT releases, the channel scheduled the television premiere of the movie for Sunday, 12 February 2023 at 4:30 PM.
The release journey of Gold therefore moved from theatres on 1 December to Prime Video on 29 December, followed by its Surya TV premiere in February.
Malayalam OTT Releases During the Festive Season
