Fauzi Independence Day Special Poster
The new Fauzi Independence Day poster hints at the larger historical conflict at the centre of the film. Its theme suggests that a major struggle took place before the celebrations of India’s independence.
One of the characters featured in the poster appears to reference Mahatma Gandhi. Reports indicate that Anupam Kher is portraying Gandhi in the film. While this figure represents peace, another character associated with conflict and violence is presented without revealing the face, adding further mystery to the story.
The special poster follows the previously released title poster, release announcement poster and title video, which generated considerable attention around the project.
Prabhas in a Historical Story Set in the 1940s
Fauzi is being developed as a big-budget historical film set against the backdrop of the 1940s, during the period of colonial India.
The story is expected to revolve around a courageous warrior whose contribution has remained hidden in India’s history. The promotional campaign has emphasised the mystery surrounding the protagonist through the line “The Man, The Mission, The Mystery.”
Reports also indicate that a military operation called Operation Z will have significance in the narrative. Prabhas is reportedly playing a most-wanted character who has been pursued since 1932.
Hanu Raghavapudi Directs Prabhas in Fauzi
Fauzi is written and directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, who returns with another period-based story following his blockbuster romantic drama Sita Ramam.
This is the first time Hanu Raghavapudi is collaborating with Prabhas, with Mythri Movie Makers mounting the project on a large Pan-Indian scale.
The film is being designed with extensive production values and technical work as it recreates the colonial era and its historical setting.
Fauzi Star Cast
Imanvi plays the female lead opposite Prabhas. The supporting cast includes veteran actors Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty and Jaya Prada.
With its combination of Prabhas in the lead, an expansive historical setting and several established performers, Fauzi is being positioned as one of the major upcoming Pan-Indian theatrical releases.
Fauzi to Release on 3 December 2026
The makers have confirmed that Fauzi will release worldwide in theatres on 3 December 2026. The film is planned for release across six languages, including Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi and Kannada.
Production work on the film is currently progressing as the team prepares the project on an international technical scale.
