Director Lijo Jose Pellissery has released a new poster introducing the campus gangs of the new film Derby, directed by Sajil Mambad after the movie Kadakan. Sagar Surya, who became famous through the movie Pani, Sivaraj, who played the villain in the movie Ozler, Franco Francis, who became famous through films including Alappuzha Gymkhana and Thanneer Mathan Dinam, and Praveen from Anjakkolla Kokkan, are also in the poster along with social media stars Hifraz, Fahis Bin Rifahi, Habib Shahjahan, and Manoop Elambra. The poster indicates that the film, which is set as a campus entertainer, will be a full-length action film. The film, which will feature young talents and social media stars in Malayalam, is also being lined up with prominent actors.
Derby is being produced by Mansoor Abdul Razak under the banner of Demand Film Factory. Adam Sabik, Hari Sivaram, Al Amin, Rish N. K, Anu, Jasnia K, Jayadeesh, Sivaraj, Praveen, Anne Merlet, Sagar Surya, Franco Francis, Hifras, Suparna S, Johnny Antony, Abu Salim, Shabarish Varma, Divya M Nair, Santosh Keezhattoor, Pradeep Balan, Kollam Shafi, Sinoj Varghese, R.J. Anthu, Shikku Nazir, Habib Shahjahan, Fahis Bin Rifahi, and Manoop are playing the lead roles. Set against a campus backdrop, Derby is being prepared as a colorful complete entertainer that showcases the vibrancy and vibrancy of today’s youth with a mix of love, action, emotion, and fun. Gopi Sundar is composing the music. Straight Line Cinemas is distributing the film in theatres in Kerala.
