Padma Bhushan Mammootty was felicitated by legendary filmmaker Adoor Gopalakrishnan on the sets of their upcoming film Padayaatra, celebrating the actor’s latest National Film Award for Best Actor for his acclaimed performance in Bramayugam.
The honour marked another memorable milestone in Mammootty’s illustrious career, as he reunited with Adoor Gopalakrishnan after 32 years. The veteran filmmaker welcomed Mammootty on the set and presented him with a gold medal in recognition of his latest National Award achievement.
The celebrations continued with the cast and crew cutting a cake to commemorate the occasion. Grace Antony and Indrans, who play pivotal roles in the film, joined Mammootty and the team in the special celebration.
Mammootty has now won the National Film Award for Best Actor four times, further cementing his place among India’s finest actors. His latest honour for Bramayugam comes more than five decades after the beginning of his remarkable acting career.

Padayaatra marks the much-awaited reunion of Mammootty and Adoor Gopalakrishnan, one of Malayalam cinema’s most celebrated actor-director collaborations.

About Padayaatra
Currently under production, Padayaatra is being produced as the eighth production venture of Mammootty Kampany.
The story, screenplay, and dialogues are jointly written by Adoor Gopalakrishnan and K. V. Mohankumar. The film will be distributed in Kerala by Wayfarer Films.
