Netflix has released the trailer for Chumbak, a multi-generational family comedy set in a lively urban neighbourhood. The series will premiere on Netflix on September 10.
Created by Hats Off Productions, the team behind Sarabhai vs Sarabhai and Khichdi, Chumbak is written and directed by Aatish Kapadia. Jamnadas “JD” Majethia and Aatish Kapadia are its producers.

What Is the Chumbak Netflix Series About?
Chumbak follows five families living in a contemporary Indian neighbourhood where everybody knows everybody. Their lives are so closely connected that the neighbours function more like an extended family.
A minor problem in one household can quickly become a colony-wide issue. There is always someone nearby with an opinion, unsolicited advice, practical help or an excuse to visit.
The series finds comedy in familiar situations involving marriage, parenting, celebrations, family arguments and neighbourhood gossip.
Mickey and Twinkle Oberoi
Arjun Bijlani and Helly Shah play Mickey and Twinkle Oberoi. The couple are hopeless romantics who appear to live in their own cheerful world.
Their affectionate relationship contributes a light-hearted dynamic to the neighbourhood and contrasts with the complications faced by the other families.
Aditya and Priyanka Khanna
