Popular digital content creator Karikku is making its feature-film debut with Good Luck Chico (ഗുഡ് ലക്ക് ചിക്കോ) . The title poster was released as part of the Thiruvonam celebrations, marking the team’s much-awaited transition from web series to the big screen.

Nikhil G. Prasad will direct the movie. Dr Ananthu and Nikhil G. Prasad are producing it under the banners of Dr Ananthu Productions and Karikku Studios.

Karikku Team Makes Its Big-Screen Debut

Good Luck Chico is Karikku’s first feature film. The project has attracted significant attention since reports emerged that the popular digital entertainment team was preparing to enter Malayalam cinema.

Actors who became popular through Karikku’s web series will appear alongside established Malayalam film stars. Further details about the cast and storyline are expected to be announced later.

Anand Mathews, Anu K. Aniyan, Arjun Ratan, Binoy John, Jeevan Stephen, Kiran Viyyath, Krishna Chandran, Shabareesh Sajjin and Unni Mathews are among the performers who gained recognition through Karikku productions.

Dr Ananthu Productions Backs the Movie

Good Luck Chico is the third movie produced by Dr Ananthu under his production banner. The collaboration brings together Karikku’s digital storytelling experience and the resources required for a theatrical production.

Dr Ananthu and Nikhil G. Prasad are jointly producing the film. The makers unveiled its title poster during the Thiruvonam celebrations.

Karikku’s Journey From Digital Content to Cinema

Founded by Nikhil Prasad in 2018, Karikku has developed into one of Malayalam’s most popular digital content platforms. Its YouTube channel has attracted nearly 10 million subscribers.

The platform built a large audience through short- and long-form web series, with humour and relatable characters at the centre of its storytelling.

Its move to cinema has created considerable expectations among Karikku followers and Malayalam movie audiences. Good Luck Chico will give the team an opportunity to adapt its distinctive storytelling style for the big screen.

Technical Team of Good Luck Chico

Akhil Xavier handles the cinematography, while Yakzan Gary Pereira and Neha Nair are composing the songs and background score. Nixon George is responsible for sound design, and Anita Abraham serves as production designer.

Sidharth K. T. is the chief associate director, while Amal Xavier Manakkatharayil is the executive producer. Gayathri Kishore handles costume design, and Arshad Varkala oversees makeup.

Steven Kumar and Felix Fukuyoshi are choreographing the action sequences, with Robin Tom handling additional stunts. Mindstein Studios is responsible for the visual effects.

Jeebu Gopal serves as production controller, while Nikhil George is the production executive. Binoy John designed the title poster. Vaisakh C. Vadakkeveedu and Jinu Anilkumar handle the film’s public relations.

The makers are yet to announce the filming schedule and theatrical release date of Good Luck Chico.
