Manorama-CVoter survey Results
The political atmosphere in Kerala seems to be shifting, with the UDF gaining momentum ahead of the elections. The comprehensive opinion poll, which surveyed nearly 90,000 respondents across all 140 constituencies, suggests that the UDF could secure between 69 and 81 seats. In contrast, the ruling Left Democratic Front (LDF) is projected to face a significant decline, with estimates indicating they may win only 57 to 69 seats, a stark reduction from the 99 seats they held after the 2021 elections. This shift could result in the LDF losing between 30 and 42 of its current seats, while the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), which did not win any seats in the last election, is expected to gain a foothold with projections of 1 to 5 seats.
Regionally, the UDF is anticipated to perform particularly well in Malabar, where they could capture between 25 and 34 of the 48 available seats. In Central Kerala, the UDF is also expected to make significant gains, potentially winning 29 to 33 out of 53 seats. Meanwhile, the LDF is likely to maintain a stronger presence in South Kerala, with predictions of securing 21 to 25 seats, while the UDF may improve its standing to 12 to 16 seats in that region. The NDA is projected to gain a few seats in the south as well, with estimates ranging from 1 to 3 seats.
