Narivetta, directed by Anuraj Manohar and starring Tovino Thomas, Suraj Venjaramoodu and Cheran in the lead roles, is making a grand success at the box office. Narivetta, which has already completed its third week, has been made to be enjoyed by everyone regardless of language. Trade analysts’ reports indicate that Narivetta has earned more than 22 crores at the global box office.

The film, which is based on multiple true events, also tells the life journey of a young man named Varghese Peter. Narivetta, which can be considered as the best political socio-thriller in Malayalam cinema, is presented in a non-linear manner. The film, which has received great audience and critical acclaim and also received a good response at the premiere show held in Australia, has now become the reason for the growth of the career graph of actor and star Tovino Thomas.

Keeping the social issue of tribal land issue in mind, Narivetta presents the events that took place in Muthanga, Wayanad on February 19, 2003, with the addition of the narrator’s imagination. The doubts that were widely expressed during the Muthanga protest run through the film’s core. At the same time, it is a film that approaches all its contents fairly in a way that unites it with all the protests such as the Chengara protest and the Pooyamkutty protest.
