Mammootty starring mega hit movie Valyettan released 20 years back, Kairali bagged the telecast rights and planning to celebrate the milestone. It was the Onam movie of Kairali channel 2001, it become a trend setter and earned massive rating for the channel. Produced by Anil Ambalakkara and Baiju Ambalakkara under the banner Ambalakkara Films, Valiettan told the story of Arakkal Madhavanunni and His Brothers. Mammotty played the role of Madhavanunni and Siddique , Sudheesh , Vijayakumar his brothers.

It was a revolution in malayalam mini screen, movie premiered with 1 year. Movie started at 1:30 P.m and Ended in late night, all major medias criticized channel for the long duration full filled with advertisements. In between the premier kairali did a phone in program with Dileep and Salim Kumar at 4:00 P.M, Valyettan resumes after the live show. Still trollers using this movie name in all festival seasons, film getting decent  trp ratings anytime.
