The title poster of the film “The Comrade” – ദി കോമ്രേഡ്, which is based on the events and developments in Kerala politics over the past 80 years, was released by the Honorable Public Works Minister Shri P.A. Muhammed Riyas in Kozhikode. The Comrade, which is being made on a huge budget, has a cast of prominent Malayalam stars.
This is a big budget film produced by Murali Kunnumpurath under the banner of Waterman Films, which has produced films like Vellam and Sumathi Valav. The Comrade is written and directed by P.M. Thomas Kutty. The Comrade, which is being made in a genre that is very different from the political films released in Malayalam till date, is being prepared in a way that presents the audience with a theatrical experience by setting the events and developments in Kerala politics over the past eighty years in the background.
Producer Murali Kunnumpurath said that The Comrade will be a political film with about ten mainstream Malayalam actors and other talented actors in the film, which is set in the political backdrop of Kerala.
