Sumathi Valavu is heading towards a huge success in its second week with housefull shows in theaters with a huge response from the audience. Sumathi Valavu is approaching the 20 crore global collection as it approaches the 10th day. Following the huge success of the film, the makers have announced the second part of Sumathi Valavu. Part 2 is being produced by Sree Gokulam Gopalan under the banner of Sree Gokulam Movies and Murali Kunnumpurath under the banner of Waterman Films. Baiju Gopalan and V. C. Praveen are the co-producers of the film. Krishnamurthy is the executive producer of the film.

Sumathi Valavu 2 is a film directed by Vishnu Shashi Shankar after the huge success of the films Malikappuram and Sumathi Valavu. After the films Malikappuram, Sumathi Valav, Anand Sreebala, Patham Valav, Night Ride and Kadavar, Abhilash Pillai is writing the second part of Sumathi Valav. Ranjin Raj, who composed the super hit songs in the films Malikappuram and Sumathi Valav, is composing the music for Sumathi Valavu 2.

Sumathi Valavu 2 will also feature a cast of South Indian stars. When the British army reached Travancore from Ambasamudra via Agasthiarkoodam, Padmanabhan’s army built defenses on all the country roads. The British army led by Lord William was left with only one forest path. The Sumati Valavu, hidden in the darkness of that path:
