The shooting of Ashakal Aayiram, a film produced by Sree Gokulam Gopalan under the banner of Sree Gokulam Movies, starring Jayaram and Kalidas Jayaram in the lead roles, began today in Kochi. After the pooja ceremonies held at Onam Park in Mavelipuram, Kakkanad, the shooting of Ashakal Aayiram began in Kochi and surrounding areas.

Ashakal Aayiram is directed by G. Prajith, who is well-known to Malayalam film audiences through the film Oru Vadakkan Selfie. Jude Antony Joseph is the creative director of Ashakal Aayiram. The co-producers of Ashagal Ayyaram are Baiju Gopalan, VC Praveen, and the executive producer is Krishnamoorthy.
