Re-Release Date of Jomon-Mammootty Movie In Samrajyam 4K Dolby Atmos

The 4K Dolby Atmos version of the super hit film ‘Saamrajyam’, directed by Jomon and starring megastar Mammootty and released in 1990, is being re-released. The makers have announced that the film will be re-released in September 2025. The work to convert the film to 4K Dolby Atmos is currently in progress. Produced by Ajmal Hassan under the banner of Arifa Productions, the film is written by Shibu Chakravarthy. The film is being distributed by Arifa Release.

‘Saamrajyam’ was Mammootty’s biggest film of the 1990s. The film, which cost between Rs 75 lakh and Rs 1 crore to make, was also noted for its making skills. The film, which used Benz cars and other vehicles to its full potential, stunned the audience with its stylish and eye-catching visuals. The film, which ran for 100 to 200 days in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, also gained a lot of attention among moviegoers for its spectacular use of slow motion. It also has the distinction of having no songs and only Ilayaraja providing background music. Ilayaraja, who initially backed out of the film due to the lack of songs, was later surprised to see the film and agreed to provide background music.
