With production progressing on the ambitious project, audiences will have to wait longer than initially planned to see the collaboration on the big screen.
Dragon Release Date – June 11, 2027
The Jr. NTR and Prashanth Neel film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on June 11, 2027.

The new June 2027 date is therefore the one readers should follow for the film’s theatrical release.
Jr. NTR in Prashanth Neel’s Action Epic
One of the biggest attractions of the project is the combination of Jr. NTR‘s screen presence and Prashanth Neel’s large-scale action filmmaking.
Expectations surrounding the movie have remained high since the collaboration was first announced. The project is being mounted as a major action spectacle, with Prashanth Neel serving as both writer and director.
The film also continues Jr. NTR’s association with large-scale projects designed to reach audiences beyond the Telugu market.
Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts Produce Dragon

Kalyan Ram Nandamuri, Naveen Yerneni, Ravi Shankar Yalamanchili and Hari Krishna Kosaraju are credited as producers.
The combination of the two production houses, Jr. NTR and Prashanth Neel places Dragon among the major upcoming Telugu cinema projects.
NTRNeel Original Release Announcement
When the project was being promoted as NTRNeel, the makers had announced June 25, 2026 as its worldwide theatrical release date.
The film was planned for a multilingual release, including Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam, positioning it as a major pan-Indian theatrical release.
That release plan has subsequently changed, with the movie now scheduled for June 11, 2027.
Dragon Movie Technical Crew
Prashanth Neel has written and directed the film, with Bhuvan Gowda handling cinematography.
Ravi Basrur, a frequent collaborator on Prashanth Neel’s films, is composing the music, while Chalapathy handles production design.
The project brings together several technicians associated with large-scale commercial cinema, supporting the action-heavy vision planned for the Jr. NTR starrer.
