Paripadi Malayalam Movie: The first-look poster of Paripadi, the upcoming big-budget Malayalam film written and directed by Joju George, has been unveiled. Produced by Venu Kunnappilly under Kavya Film Company, the film marks Joju George’s second directorial venture following the success of Pani in 2024.
One of the biggest highlights of Paripadi is the Malayalam cinema debut of celebrated Tamil music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja. The composer is making his first Malayalam film as music director, adding another major attraction to the ambitious project.
Starring Joju George in a prominent role, Paripadi is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release in December 2026 across five languages: Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada.
Yuvan Shankar Raja’s First Malayalam Movie – Paripadi
Popular South Indian music director Yuvan Shankar Raja is entering Malayalam cinema as a composer through Paripadi.
Known for his successful soundtracks and background scores in Tamil cinema, Yuvan’s association with the film is a major highlight of its technical lineup.
The project brings together Yuvan Shankar Raja and acclaimed cinematographer Rajeev Ravi, creating considerable interest in the film’s music and visual presentation.
The makers have also announced a musical programme featuring Yuvan Shankar Raja alongside the first-look launch, adding to the promotional activities surrounding the film.
Joju George Returns to Direction After Pani
Following his directorial debut Pani, released in 2024, Joju George returns as writer and director with Paripadi.
According to the makers, the new film belongs to the same genre as Pani but is being developed on a considerably larger scale.
Set against the backdrop of Thrissur, the film has Chalakudy as one of its principal shooting locations.
A particularly interesting aspect of the production is the inclusion of approximately 100 newcomers in character roles.
The newcomers underwent nearly four months of special training before joining the production. Unlike background performers, these actors have characters with dialogues.
The makers aim to create a distinctive cinematic experience through the combination of a large cast, extensive preparation and experienced technical professionals.
Post-production work is currently progressing.
