Vanambadi is a Malayalam television serial launched on Asianet on Monday, 30 January 2017. The musical family drama was scheduled to air Monday to Saturday at 7:00 PM, replacing Chinthavishttayaya Seetha in the time slot.
Popular Malayalam film and television actress Chippy returned to the mini screen through Vanambadi. Asianet promoted the serial with its title song and launch promos ahead of the premiere.

The serial was produced by Renjith under the banner of Rejaputhra Visual Media, with Aadithyan as the director. Aadithyan was also known for his work on the Malayalam television serial Akashadoothu.
Vanambadi revolves around a young girl whose life is deeply connected with music. The musical theme forms an important part of the story and its characters.
The Tamil version of the concept was launched on Star Vijay under the title Mouna Ragam.

Vanambadi Title Song
Asianet released the Vanambadi title song as part of the promotional campaign for the serial. The channel also aired launch promos ahead of its television premiere.
At the time of the launch, Asianet’s serial lineup included Seethayanam, Pranayam, Chinthavishttayaya Seetha, Karutha Muthu, Parasparam, Chandanamazha and Bhaarya.
Vanambadi replaced Chinthavishttayaya Seetha at 7:00 PM, introducing a new musical family drama to the channel’s prime-time schedule.
Vanambadi TRP Ratings
Vanambadi later became one of Asianet’s popular television serials. As per the available 2019 BARC ratings mentioned in this update, Vanambadi recorded 13.8 points, while Seethakalyanam was performing with higher ratings during the period.
Asianet also prepared to introduce Pournami Thinkal from 29 April at 8:00 PM, as part of subsequent changes to its serial lineup.
