Under the leadership of visionary filmmaker and producer Namit Malhotra, with Yash as co-producer, the film Ramayana brings together a strong creative team, including Oscar-winning technicians, the best technicians in Hollywood, and a world-class star cast. Movie lovers around the world are eagerly awaiting this mythological film. Hence, the film’s promo was launched on various screens for fans across nine Indian cities and at Times Square in New York to capture the world’s attention.

Nitish Tiwari and his team have reimagined one of the world’s most powerful epics for the world in a cutting-edge cinematic experience rooted in Indian culture. Namit Malhotra, founder and filmmaker of Prime Focus, shares: “This is a cultural movement for every Indian across the world. Through Ramayana, we are not just retelling history; we are also introducing our heritage to the world. Although we have seen Ramayana filmed before, we aim to recreate each character, storyline and other elements in its own unique style in this version, unlike all those.”

“Ramayana is a story that we all grew up hearing and knowing. It embodies the soul of our culture. Our aim was to honour that soul and present it on the cinematic scale it truly deserves,” said director Nitish Tiwari.

Produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, the film, directed by Nitish Tiwari, also features eight-time Oscar-winning VFX studio DNEG. Made on a budget of Rs 835 crore, the film is one of the most expensive Indian films ever made. The first and second parts of “Ramayana”, which will be shot in IMAX, will be released worldwide as Diwali releases in 2026 and 2027.
