New OTT Releases , Prime Video Started the Streaming of Moppala Movie
Featuring Santhosh Keezhattur in Lead, Moppala Movie Prime Video Streaming Now
Santhosh Puthukunnu’s directorial debut film ‘Moppala’ released on Amazon Prime Video. Film produced by K.N. Bethur under the banner of Vanasree Creations and starring Santhosh Keezhattur in the lead role. Earlier, the film had started streaming on Prime Video outside India.
The film tells the story of Devanandan, a twelve-year-old boy born to parents from two different castes, who faces severe discrimination from society. Santhosh Keezhattur appears in the film as Devanandan’s uncle, a Theyyam artist. The film is also currently available on BookMyShow Stream. The film is distributed by Nirmal Baby Varghese’s Casablanca Film Factory.
Other prominent roles are played by Rithesh Aramana, Sonia Malhar, Prajna R. Krishna, Devanandan, Kookkal Raghavan, Ranjiraj Karinthalam, and Sudhakaran Thekkumpadan. In 2021, the film was selected as the Best Film at the International Folklore Film Festival organized by the Kerala Folklore Academy. It was also officially selected for the First-Time Filmmakers Session organized by the Lift-Off Global Network in England, and the BeeBop Channel Content Film Festival in New York.
