Panagiotis Dilmperis Sets High Expectations for Mohun Bagan
Mohun Bagan Super Giant head coach Panagiotis Dilmperis believes his players have benefited from the competitive nature of their pre-season preparations.
The team has already faced NorthEast United FC during the Durand Cup, giving the coaching staff an opportunity to assess the opposition before their Indian Super League meeting.
Mohun Bagan also enter the competition following a successful run that included the IFA Shield among their pre-season achievements.
Dilmperis explained that the demanding schedule helped the squad improve its tactical understanding and become comfortable with different playing systems.
The coach has worked with both the 3-4-3 and 4-2-3-1 formations, allowing the team to adapt according to the opposition and the situation during matches.
According to Dilmperis, the ability to switch formations offers greater flexibility, particularly when facing teams with different tactical approaches.
He also highlighted the importance of competitive playing time, explaining that most members of the squad had opportunities to perform under pressure while competing for trophies.
