The official trailer of the film “Mehfil”, written and directed by Jayaraj and starring Mukesh, Unni Mukundan and Asha Sarath in the lead roles, has been released. Director Ranjith had made Mohanlal’s character Mangalassery Neelakandan in Devasuram, based on the life of Mullassery Rajagopal of Kozhikode. In complete contrast, the famous director Jayaraj is visualizing a heart-warming Mehfil night in the life of Mullassery Rajagopal.

Mullassery Rajagopal, a favorite of celebrities in the film and music world, always had a Mehfil at his house. “Mehfil” is Jayaraj’s heartfelt wish, having once witnessed it firsthand. The highlight of the film are eight beautiful songs composed by Deepankuran, composed by Kaithapram Namboothiripad. Renowned actor Mukesh plays the role of Mullassery Rajagopalan.

Asha Sarath gives a good performance as his wife. Kailash, Ranji Panicker, Siddhartha Menon, Vaishnavi, Sabitha Jayaraj, Ashwath Lal, Manoj Govindan, Ajeesh, Shibu Nair and singers Ramesh Narayan, G Venugopal, Krishnachandran and Akhila Anand are also playing the main roles.

Produced by Dr. Manoj Govindan under the banner of Wide Screen Media Productions, the film “Mehfil” is being shot by Rahul Deep. The singers are Ramesh Narayan, G Venugopal, Aravind Venugopal, Vaikom Vijayalakshmi, Devi Saranya, Mustafa Manthottam and Hridya Manoj.
