The second song from the film “Mehfil” directed by Jayaraj is also out to the audience. The song, which begins with “Kaananathikaalal…..”, sung by Aravind Venugopal and composed by Deepankuran to lyrics by Kaithapram Damodaran Namboothiripad, has been released.

Director Ranjith had based Mohanlal’s character Mangalassery Neelakandan in Devasuram on the life of Mullassery Rajagopal of Kozhikode. In complete contrast, renowned director Jayaraj is visualizing a heart-touching Mehfil night in Mullassery Rajagopal’s life.

Mullassery Rajagopal, a favorite of celebrities in the film and music world, was always at the house of Mehfil. His new film, Mehfil, is the heart-wrenching experience of Jayaraj, who once witnessed it firsthand. The highlight of the film is the eight beautiful songs composed by Kaithapram Namboothiri and composed by Deepankuran.

The video song Nonthavarke Novariyu from the film “Mehfil”, written, scripted and directed by Jayaraj, has already been received by the audience. This song has been sung by Mustafa and Devi Saranya. Famous actor Mukesh plays the role of Mullassery Rajagopalan. This is the best role in Mukesh’s acting career. Asha Sarath gives a good performance as his wife.

Unni Mukundan, Manoj K Jayan, Kailash, Renji Panicker, Siddhartha Menon, Vaishnavi, Sabitha Jayaraj, Ashwath Lal, Manoj Govindan, Ajeesh, Shibu Nair and others along with singers Ramesh Narayan, G Venugopal, Krishnachandran and Akhila Anand are also playing the main roles. “Mehfil” is produced by Dr. Manoj Govindan under the banner of Wide Screen Media Productions and is being shot by Rahul Deep.

Mehfil has eight songs written by Kaithapram and composed by Deepankuran. The singers are Ramesh Narayan, G Venugopal, Aravind Venugopal, Vaikom Vijayalakshmi, Devi Sharanya, Mustafa Manthottam, Hridya Manoj, etc. The songs are being released by Satyam Audios.
