Dulquer Salmaan’s seventh film, “Lokah – Chapter One: Chandra“, produced by Wayfarer Films, has become a historic success. The film has collected 101 crores globally in 7 days. This has made “Lokah” the biggest collection ever for a film with a female lead in South India. This film has created a new history in South Indian cinema itself.
The film, which continues to make a huge leap both inside and outside Kerala, is making progress by creating records at the box office. This big budget film, starring Kalyani Priyadarshan and Naslen in the lead roles, is written and directed by Dominic Arun. The Telugu and Tamil versions of the film, which are receiving a good audience response, are also trending towards mega success. The Hindi version of the film will be released on September 4.
The film is currently being screened in Kerala with around 1400 shows per day. The film, which is progressing with housefull shows all over Kerala, is receiving unprecedented audience support. The film, which has been receiving much acclaim across the pan-India stage, is the first film in a superhero cinematic universe called “Lokah“. The film, which opens up a wonderful world to the audience, is inspired by the story of the famous legend of Kerala, Kalliyankat Neeli.
Kalyani Priyadarshan gave a magnificent performance as the title character Chandra. Nazlan and Sandy also gave good performances in the film. Chandu Salimkumar, Arun Kurian, Sarath Sabha, Nishant Sagar and Vijayaraghavan are also in the star cast of the film. The big cameo roles in the film are also a super hit.
The film, which was released in Kerala by Wayfarer Films, is distributed in the Rest of India market by big distributors. The film was distributed in Tamil by AGS Cinemas, in Karnataka by Lighter Buddha Films, in North India by Pen Marudhar and in Telugu by Sithara Entertainments.
