The first song from Mohanlal starrer Empuraan, directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, is out. The lyric video of the song Phir Zinda has been released. The music of this song, composed by Deepak Dev, is written by Tanishk Nabar and sung by Anand Bhaskar. The film, which will be released globally on March 27, is creating new records in Indian cinema even before its release.
The film, which has already sold more than 10 lakh tickets from Book My Show alone, has broken all opening records in Malayalam cinema through advance bookings. The film is produced by Gokulam Gopalan, Antony Perumbavoor and Subhaskaran under the banner of Sree Gokulam Movies, Aashirvad Cinemas and Lyca Productions.
Written by Murali Gopi, this film is also the first IMAX release in the history of Malayalam cinema. The film, which will be released globally on March 27, will start its global screening from 6 am Indian time. The Tamil Nadu distribution of the film is by Sri Gokulam Gopalan-owned Sri Gokulam Movies. While Sri Venkateswara Creations, owned by Dil Raju, is distributing the film in Andhra/Telangana states, the film is being distributed in North India by AA Films, led by Anil Thadani. The distribution partner in Karnataka is Hombale Films, a major Kannada film production and distribution company. The film has already earned over Rs 60 crore in pre-sales globally.
The film, starring Mohanlal in the lead role, also stars Prithviraj, Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, Indrajith Sukumaran, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Jerome Flynn, Baiju, Saikumar, Andrea Tivader, Abhimanyu Singh, Sania Iyyappan, Fazil, Sachin Khadkar, Naila Usha, Jiju John, Nandu, Murugan Martin, Sivaji Guruvayoor, Manikuttan, Aneesh G Menon, Sivada, Alex O’Neill, Eric Ebony, Karthikeya Dev, Mihael Novikov, Kishore, Sukant, Behzad Khan, Nikhat Khan, Satyajit Sharma, Nayan Bhatt, Shubhangi, and Jais Jose. The film will be released in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada.
