Kenjira is preparing to return to streaming after being included in ManoramaMAX’s upcoming catalogue. A confirmed streaming date has not been revealed.

Kenjira premiered at the 2019 International Film Festival of Kerala. Its subject, performances and representation of the Paniya community attracted attention on the festival circuit.
The film received the Kerala State Film Award for Second Best Film at the 50th Kerala State Film Awards. It also won the 2019 John Abraham Award for Best Malayalam Film.
These honours established Kenjira as an important work in socially conscious Malayalam cinema.
