ZEE5’s Maiden Malayalam Thriller Web Series Kammattam Earns Positive Reviews All Over
Kammattam, ZEE5’s first Malayalam original series, launched on September 4, is fast emerging as a critical success in Kerala. With highly positive reviews across the state and strong word of mouth keeping audiences engaged, the gripping six-episode crime thriller has struck a chord with viewers.
Inspired by a real-life incident that shook Thrissur, Kammattam is directed by Shan Thulasidharan and produced by 23 Feet Productions. The series stars Sudev Nair in a powerful lead performance, supported by a compelling ensemble including Jins, Jeo Baby, Ajay Vaasudev, Akhil Kavalayoor, Arun Sol, Sreerekha, and Jordy Poonjaa.
The story begins with the suspicious death of planter Samuel Umman, initially believed to be a road accident. However, Circle Inspector Antonio George discovers missing evidence and launches an investigation. His pursuit leads to many mysterious deaths and unsettling discoveries, drawing him closer to Francis, a quiet worker at Samuel’s plantation. As the layers unfold, Kammattam becomes a chilling web of deceit, silence, and buried truths, making it an unmissable true-crime drama.
