Jose is riding high, Mammootty and Vinayakan have come forward to thank the audience for welcoming the film with open arms. Mammootty shared his happiness over the appreciation he has received from the audience over the past 2 days and thanked the audience for always believing in his choices.

Vinayakan also thanked the audience for the great response he has received for the film and his performance. Kalankaval, scripted by Jishnu Sreekumar and Jithin K. Jose, is the seventh film produced under the banner of Mammootty Company. Kalamkaval is the first film directed by Jithin K. Jose, who gained attention for writing the story of the superhit film ‘Kurup’ starring Dulquer Salmaan.
The film, which stars Vinayakan as the hero and Mammootty as the antagonist, is being received enthusiastically by the audience. Mammootty’s antagonist role is receiving unprecedented audience and critical acclaim. They underline that there is no other superstar in Indian cinema who dares to play a role like this, except Mammootty. Vinayakan also gave a stand-up performance alongside Mammootty, who displays astonishing villainy. The most unique body language and speech style of his career was presented to the audience through this film. The film Kalamkaval is experiencing a huge crowd in theaters in Kerala. The film’s first day global gross collection is Rs 15.70 crore. The film, which continues its triumphant journey by creating waves at the box office, has been expanded from 260 screens in Kerala to 365 screens.
The film is also a record success in the Gulf. The film’s overseas distribution partner is Truth Global Films. The film was brought to Kerala as a big release by Wayfarer Films. The first day collection of the film in Kerala was five crores. Inspired by the infamous Cyanide Mohan case, the film is a smashing success by thrilling the audience from start to finish. Other prominent stars in the film are Jibin Gopinath, Biju Pappan, Regisha Vijayan, Gayathri Arun, Malavika, and Sruthi Ramachandran.
The film was distributed in Tamil Nadu by Future Runup Films, which has brought Malayalam films including ‘Lokah‘ to Tamil Nadu. Sithara Entertainments, Lighter Buddha Films, and Pen Marudhar have distributed the film in Andhra/Telangana, Karnataka, and North India respectively.
