JioStar has announced a major festive World Television Premiere line-up for 2026, bringing a wide selection of Hindi and South Indian films to television audiences across the country. The slate covers Star Gold, Star Vijay, Star Maa, COLORS Kannada, Star Suvarna, Asianet and other JioStar movie channels.
The festive schedule includes titles such as Raja Shivaji, Chand Mera Dil, Welcome To The Jungle, Dhurandhar, Dhurandhar The Revenge, Gatta Kusthi, Blast, Idhayam Murali and Vishwanath and Sons.
For Malayalam television audiences, one of the key announcements is the Malayalam television premiere of Dhurandhar The Revenge on Asianet in October 2026.

Dhurandhar The Revenge Malayalam Premiere on Asianet
For Kerala viewers, Asianet will premiere the Malayalam version of Dhurandhar The Revenge in October 2026. JioStar has not provided the exact Asianet telecast date and time in the current announcement.
The film is also an important part of the broadcaster’s regional festive strategy. Tamil and Telugu versions are scheduled for October on Star Vijay and Star Maa, while the Kannada version forms part of the October–November line-up.

The channel’s festive season begins with Kara in September. October brings Blast, Gatta Kusthi and the Tamil version of Dhurandhar The Revenge.
The schedule continues into November with Idhayam Murali and Vishwanath and Sons.

Telugu audiences will also receive a selection of new television premieres through Star Maa.

Star Gold started its festive movie schedule with the World Television Premiere of Raja Shivaji on September 12, 2026, followed by Chand Mera Dil on September 20, 2026.
The Hindi movie line-up continues with Dhurandhar: The Revenge on October 18, followed by Dhurandhar on October 25. Dhurandhar will also be shown across Star Utsav Movies, COLORS Cineplex Bollywood and COLORS Cineplex Superhits.
The festive slate then continues with Welcome To The Jungle, scheduled for its World Television Premiere on November 1, 2026.
Kannada Premieres During October and November
COLORS Kannada and Star Suvarna are also part of JioStar‘s multi-language festive movie strategy.
The Kannada line-up includes Blast and Mr. X in October, while Maa Inti Bangaram, Mango Pachcha and Dhurandhar The Revenge are included in the October–November programming period.
Television Remains a Major Movie Destination
JioStar says movie viewing remains an important part of television consumption in India. The company cited industry data indicating that viewers in India collectively spend around 23 trillion minutes annually watching movies on television.
The broadcaster also cited data suggesting that Hindi movie viewing in Hindi-speaking markets rises by around 45% during the festive period, reflecting increased family and shared-screen viewing.
A JioStar spokesperson said the festive season continues to demonstrate the importance of shared entertainment, with television providing scale for cinematic events that families can experience together.
With premieres spread across Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam, JioStar’s 2026 festive line-up is designed to bring major films to television audiences throughout September, October and November.
