Irandu Vaanam Release Date: Vishnu Vishal and Mamitha Baiju Starrer to Hit Theatres on October 23

Tamil romantic fantasy film Irandu Vaanam, starring Vishnu Vishal and Mamitha Baiju in the lead roles, is gearing up for its worldwide theatrical release on October 23, 2026. The film is written and directed by Ram Kumar, marking his third collaboration with Vishnu Vishal after the successful films Mundasupatti and Ratsasan.

The Kerala distribution rights of Irandu Vaanam have been acquired by Binu George Alexander Productions. The company is also associated with the film’s All India distribution, while Dream Big Films serves as the Kerala distribution partner.

Presented by T.G. Thyagarajan under the Sathya Jyothi Films banner, Irandu Vaanam is produced by Senthil Thyagarajan and Arjun Thyagarajan.

Vishnu Vishal and Mamitha Baiju Team Up for the First Time

Irandu Vaanam brings Vishnu Vishal and Mamitha Baiju together on screen for the first time. The film is being presented as a romantic fantasy, with its story centred on the relationship between the characters played by the two actors.

Romance, fantasy and emotional elements are expected to form the core of the narrative. Filming has been completed across locations including Kodaikanal, and the movie is now preparing for its October theatrical release.

The project also reunites Vishnu Vishal with director Ram Kumar. Their earlier collaborations, Mundasupatti and Ratsasan, earned considerable attention, making Irandu Vaanam their third film together.

Irandu Vaanam adds another prominent Tamil project to Mamitha Baiju’s filmography following her appearances in Jana Nayagan and Vishwanath & Sons.

Her Malayalam film Bethlehem Kudumba Unit, in which she stars opposite Nivin Pauly, also emerged as a major box-office success. The success of these films has further increased attention around Mamitha Baiju’s upcoming releases, including Irandu Vaanam.

With Vishnu Vishal and Mamitha Baiju appearing together for the first time, the romantic fantasy is among the notable Tamil releases scheduled for October 2026.

Irandu Vaanam Kerala Release

The film will receive a Kerala theatrical release alongside its worldwide opening on October 23, 2026.

Binu George Alexander Productions has acquired the Kerala distribution rights, while Dream Big Films is the Kerala distribution partner. Binu George Alexander Productions is also handling the film’s All India distribution partnership.

The technical team includes Dhibu Ninan Thomas as music composer, Dinesh K. Babu as cinematographer and San Lokesh as editor.

Meanwhile, Mamitha Baiju’s blockbuster Malayalam film Bethlehem Kudumba Unit is preparing for its digital release on JioHotstar.

The film stars Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju in the lead roles and is directed by Girish A. D. and produced by Bhavana Studios.

Following its successful theatrical run, attention has now shifted to the film’s OTT premiere. JioHotstar has been confirmed as the streaming platform, while the exact streaming date is awaited.

For Mamitha Baiju, the upcoming digital arrival of Bethlehem Kudumba Unit and the October 23 theatrical release of Irandu Vaanam make the period particularly significant across Malayalam and Tamil audiences.
