The shooting of Amanushikam, a horror-comedy film directed by Nitheesh K Nair, has been completed in Thrissur. The film is produced under the banner of Namo Pictures.
Jomon Joshi, known for his appearances in films such as Pokkiri Raja, Kandahar, and Bhaskar the Rascal, plays the lead role in the movie. The cast also includes Kiran Raj, Dr. Rajith Kumar, Kulappulli Leela, Kudassanad Kanakam, Nanda Kishore, Cobra Rajesh, Renu Sudhi, Girish Perincheri, Krishnakumar, Sanil Mattannur, Praveen Chalakudy, Rafi, Sony Attachackal, Rahul Mannarkkad, Manoj Mahadev, Ajith Cherthala, and Ramakrishnan.
The screenplay and dialogues are written by Sudheesh Perumbally. The film’s cinematography is handled by Binzeer, while the music is composed by Rejan Raghu. Lyrics are penned by Akhil Ponnappan and editing is by Ashish Sivan.
The film revolves around a village known for a legendary Yakshi. Chaos unfolds when someone removes the nail that had supposedly restrained the spirit for years. The incidents that follow are presented through a full-length comedy narrative with horror elements.
Amanushikam is scheduled to hit theatres in August 2026.
